Well Defined Halloween Card

Well Defined Halloween Card

Halloween is a time of year that many people eagerly anticipate. From the pumpkin patches to trick-or-treating, it can be a great opportunity for family bonding and spooky fun. However, you don't have to wait until October 31st to get in on the fun! In this blog post, I'm going to show you how easy it is to make your own Halloween card with some simple supplies from your craft supply stash. The Well Defined stamp set along with the Clever Cats stamp set make this the perfect card for those that may not be into the creepy side of the holiday but that adore childhood memories of trick or treating and carving pumpkins.

Cut the following pieces using your Stampin' Up! Paper Trimmer:

Basic Black Card Base: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” score in half at 4-1/4”
Pumpkin Pie Mid Front Panel: 5-1/8” x 3-7/8”
Basic White Top Front Panel: 5” x 3-3/4”
Basic White Inside Panel: 5” x 3-3/4”
Basic White Square for image: 2” x 2”

Stamping with Stamparatus:

1)  Stamp the jack o lantern image onto the 2” x 2”  square piece centering just above the bottom edge using Tuxedo Black ink

2)  Position and stamp the witch hat with Tuxedo Black ink on top of the jack o lantern and repeat stamping until the image is solid. Use Basic Black Blends pens to color in the image to achieve a solid look if necessary.

3)  Color the pumpkin with the Pumpkin Pie Blends pens.

4)  Use Paper Snips to fussy cut the pumpkin with the hat leaving a small white border around the image if you prefer.

5) Top Front Panel: Stamp the Halloween defintion twice centering the text. Allow 1/2" to 3/4" of white space from the bottom of the panel to allow for placement of the rhinestones.

6)  Clean your stamps using the Simply Shammy or a baby wipe.

7)  Assemble the Top and Mid Front Panel layers onto the front of the Base card and attach the Inside Panel with Tear & Tape or your favorite adhesive.

8)  Mount the pumpkin image using Stampin' Dimensionals onto the Top Front Panel centering it on the definition text.

9) Stamp the spider image onto the Top Front Panel 2/3 down the left side of the definition text.

10)  Use the black journaling pen to draw a squiggly spider web line from the end of the witch's hat to the top of the spider.

11)  Attach your three orange Holiday Rhinestone Jewels to the lower right corner of the Top Front Panel.

TIP: Use multi-purpose liquid glue to reinforce the adhesion of jewels or pearls.
